If you are a licensed attorney, I can assist with projects in a variety of areas such as reviewing and evaluating criminal cases; developing legal strategy; taking routine tasks off your plate to systematize and delegate them to others; implementing marketing plans and other business development ideas; and researching, evaluating, and onboarding law office technology.
As Special Counsel, I become a member of your team with the following parameters:
- I DO respect attorney/client privilege and protect the confidentiality of information shared with me.
- I DO respect your relationship with your clients. I generally prefer to not have direct contact with them. I will NOT solicit them.
- I generally DO work remotely and provide my own tools.
- I will NOT become attorney of record or sign pleadings.
As the Hiring Attorney, you are responsible for paying my fees, determining how to notify your client of my involvement in their case, and handling reimbursement for my work in keeping with the rules of professional responsibility in your jurisdiction.
We will agree in advance on a flat fee, hourly rate, or hybrid fee structure that makes sense for each project. There is a minimum per-project fee, with the amount dependent on the level of commitment required on my part. To begin work, a written agreement is required along with advance payment of any flat fee or retainer deposit for hourly work.
